Lesson 1 of 3
Introduction to HTML
Understand what HTML describes and how a browser turns a document into a page.
HTML—HyperText Markup Language—describes the structure and meaning of a web document. It identifies headings, paragraphs, links, forms, navigation, and other parts of a page.
HTML is structure
CSS controls presentation and JavaScript adds behavior. HTML gives both of them a meaningful foundation and gives browsers, assistive technologies, and search engines a shared understanding of the document.
